Daisy Ridley May Be Headed to Tomb Raider Reboot
The breakout Star Wars: The Force Awakens star is being eyed for the lead role in the long gestating Tomb Raider reboot.
MGM has been reportedly seeking a female director for the project, before they went with Roar Uthaug, and now their attention turns to who takes on the Lara Croft moniker.
Deadline reports that Ridley is among a select few being considered for the picture, and no word yet has come forward on who else might be in the mix. There is no information on a writer either, though that's not yet a priority it seems.
Ridley might find her hands a little full when it comes to crossing into a second franchise, but at this point who knows? The star is currently filming the sequel to The Force Awakens.
