Dan Stevens and Christopher Plummer Sign on to Star in a Tale of Charles Dickens
Bleecker Street has landed the U.S. rights to The Man Who Invented Christmas, the latest Charles Dickens adaptation which is set to be directed by Bjarat Nalluri. It adapts the book written by Les Standiford, which recounts Dickens' creation of A Christmas Carol.
Susan Coyne is penning the script, and Dan Stevens will star as a younger Dickens. Christopher Plummer will play Scrooge while Jonathan Pryce will play Dickens' father. Production will begin in December and the film is expected to release some time in 2017.
