Daredevil is coming sooner than you think, shares release date with one particular blockbuster film
Rumours have been surfacing for some time that Daredevil will be returning in 2016, aided by a handful of set photos that have surfaced recently. Now, it's been confirmed that Daredevil season 2 will launch on Netflix on March 25.
It will be sharing that date with another, very familiar superhero blockbuster coming in just three and a half short months. It's not really a matter of competition, considering the different platforms, but Daredevil will be entering the ring with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on the very same day.
While they won't be competing in any statistical sense, Daredevil and Netflix consumers may see a far greater reward from binge watching the new season for free with their subscription. Who needs to leave the house to get their superhero fix anyway?
It could well spark the beginning of a 'release date war' between the two companies. The DC universe-launching team-up film was set for a May 6 release date initially, before Captain America: Civil War was announced for the same day. DC bulked. Sounds like Marvel wants to play ball.
