Darth Vader to Appear In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
For quite some time Star Wars fans have speculated whether Darth Vader will have a role in Rogue One. And now it is finally confirmed, via Entertainment Weekly, that Darth Vader will indeed make an appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
What is not yet clear is how much we'll see Darth Vader as he is not the only villain in Rogue One. Vader will share the villain screen time with the white-cloaked Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn). He is described as an ambitious Imperial officer who is eager to win the favors of the Emperor while not displeasing his 'black masked enforcer'.
The magazine also teased new details in its issue. There are new Imperial weaponry: the TIE Strikers and AT-ACT Imperial Walkers. We've known that Mads Mikklesen will take the role of Jyn Erso's (Felicity Jones) father but now we also know that he is a scientist whose knowledge is sought by both rebels and Imperial forces. And Alan Tudyk's role is revealed as that of a droid (featured in the EW cover) through motion capture.
Rogue One will open in December 2016.
