David Ayer Praises Jared Leto's Performance as the Joker
Suicide Squad is an eternity away compared to Batman v Superman, but that doesn't stop anyone from talking about it. Nor does it stop us from getting excited about it.
Director David Ayer promises us a mindblowing Joker from Jared Leto, one of two characters many are hyped to witness (the other being Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn).
"What Jared has done is absolutely incredible. When he steps onto the set the world stops. Everything stops. What he's done is so powerful, so menacing, so palpable, you can feel him. The crew stops working and just watches him. I have to get everybody going again because he's so fascinating."
If all this is to be believed, we have potentially a perfect portrayal to follow Ledger's incomparable performance. The character will certainly be different enough, but Leto's casting may just have been perfect.
