DC's Legends of Tomorrow Casts Jonah Hex Role
The legendary Jonah Hex character is a popular gunslinger, a unique inclusion in DC's stock of characters.
With a knowledge base that extends to time travel, despite living happily in the wild west, the character seems an easy inclusion into the upcoming CW series Legends of Tomorrow.
The character has been cast, to be played by Johnathon Schaech in a guest starring role, with a possibility to recur.
Often his stories take place in the 1800s, though in recent times (in the comic book lore) he has played guest roles tying into modern event stories. No hint is given suggesting whether he will make an appearance in modern/future events, or whether the Legends of Tomorrow will track him in the past.
All signs probably lead to him finding his way into the future, if for no other reason than budget. Recreating a western set would be hard to sell for a television series that probably doesn't need to veer into such tonally contrasting directions.
