Deathstroke Unlikely to Return to Arrow
At a recent Heroes and Villains Fan Fest, Stephen Amell proclaimed that he wanted Deathstroke to return to Arrow, to which fans on the internet exploded with excitement.
Actor Manu Bennett has taken to Twitter with his support for the series, though he is currently working on something else. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke in a Tumblr Q&A, in which he stated "The character of Slade Wilson is currently tied up in another DC project. Walter is more likely."
Rumours have pointed to Scott Eastwood playing Slade in Suicide Squad, but it also raises questions regarding the sharing of characters from film to TV despite the fact that this isn't a shared universe. Amanda Waller's recent death in Arrow is likely the result of her appearance in this August's film.
DC and Warner Bros. clearly don't want to confront the possibility of having two of the same character in two separate franchise mediums at any given time, and it would understandably cause confusion with the casual DC entertainment fan. Eventually, though, this seems like it'll be unavoidable.
