Disney CEO Bob Iger Announces New Series For Streaming Service
Disney CEO Bob Iger dropped some big news on Disney's quarterly earnings call.
Disney is developing a new Star Wars series for their streaming service. Despite previous rumors about a Star Wars show heading to ABC. No details on the series have been announced. It's incredible that we are getting a Star Wars TV show or technically a streaming show.
Other developments happening at Disney's streaming service are High School Musical series, Monsters Inc. series, and a brand new original Marvel series.
Iger also stated Disney streaming service will be priced substantially below Netflix. The price will reflect the less content starting out on the service. "Our goal is to attract as many subs as possible starting out." said Disney CEO/Chairman Bob Iger.
The Disney branded streaming service will come out in 2019.
