Disney is Developing A New 'Splash' with Channing Tatum
The 1984 comedy hit from Ron Howard is being remade like most things in Hollywood.
The remake will be different from the original version starring Tom Hanks. This time the gender roles will be reversed. The mermaid will now be a merman. The merman will be played by Channing Tatum.
Brian Grazer, partner of Ron Howard, teased about the possibility of a Splash remake. Grazer said "It will be told from a different point of view." Grazer was certainly right about that.
No release date has been given for Channing Tatum's Splash.
