Disney Reveals a New Slate of Fairytale and Live-Action Pictures through to 2019
Disney is flying higher than ever, it seems, and with The Jungle Book steam-rolling the competition, it seems the studio is entirely confident with their course of action with fairytale properties. They've now unveiled a host of new dates to bolster their successful bunch of fairytale and live-action films.
The new slate details films through to 2019, though the company hasn't actually said which movies fit into which dates. Those dates are as follows:
UNTITLED DISNEY FAIRY TALE (Live Action) previously dated on 12/22/17 moves up to 7/28/17
UNTITLED DISNEY FAIRY TALE (Live Action) now dated on 4/6/18
UNTITLED DISNEY LIVE ACTION now dated on 8/3/18
UNTITLED DISNEY LIVE ACTION now dated on 12/25/18
UNTITLED DISNEY FAIRY TALE (Live Action) now dated on 12/20/19
Disney has kindly offered a list of fairytale and live-action films currently in the pipeline. These include Curella with Emma Stone attached to star, A Wrinkle in Time with Ava DuVernay attached to direct, Dwayne Johnson's Jungle Cruise, Dumbo to be directed by Tim Burton, a Mary Poppins sequel with director Rob Marshall and starring Emily Blunt, Maleficent 2 with Angelina Jolie returning, the Nutcracker, The Jungle Book 2 bringing Jon Favreau back with writer Justin Marks, and a Tinker Bell project involving Reese Witherspoon.
