'Doctor Strange' and 'Fantastic Beasts' Get China Releases
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Doctor Strange both have the all clear to debut in China some time next month or in December. Doctor Strange arrives on home soil on November 4 while Fantastic Beasts is set for November 18.
China is the world's second largest film market, so its no small win to get the clearance to send your film over those shores. The Harry Potter franchise, interestingly, hasn't done too well in the past over there, though Marvel has seen major success in the People's Republic.
34 non-Chinese films are allowed onto the big screen over there annually, and they are quite strict on what they let through.
