'Doctor Strange' Has a Rating Target
Director Scott Derrickson has revealed that the next Marvel film has been shot for a PG-13 rating. While the MPAA won't reveal the official rating until sooner to November, Doctor Strange looks set for a PG-13 audience.
"Rated PG-13 for kaleidoscopic galactic intensity and other dimensional psychotropic violence," the director wrote on Twitter. Though, the original Tweet looked something like this: "ƎϽNƎ˥OIΛ ϽIԀOᴚ⊥OHϽʎSԀ ˥∀NOISNƎWIᗡ-ᴚƎH⊥O ᗡN∀ ʎ⊥ISNƎ⊥NI ϽI⊥Ͻ∀˥∀ƃ ϽIԀOϽSOᗡIƎ˥∀ʞ ᴚOℲ 31-ƃԀ ᗡƎ⊥∀ᴚ"
PG-13 is a rating that has become the norm in superhero circles, following the heels of Suicide Squad, X-Men: Apocalypse, Batman v Superman, Captain America: Civil War and countless others prior to 2016.
The film arrives November 4.
