Dominic Purcell On-Set Injury Doesn't Affect 'Prison Break' Production
Actor Dominic Purcell has sustained a head injury and a broken nose while filming in Morrocco for the Prison Break revival series. The incident occurred when a heavy set-piece fell and struck him on the head.
The actor has since taken to social media to confirm that he is expected to make a full recovery. His injuries are not expected to impact production, though the actor will make a brief departure while he recovers.
“Our friend and colleague Dominic Purcell was injured earlier this week during the filming of our event series ‘Prison Break,’ and was flown to a medical facility where he received treatment,” FOX commented in a statement.
“We are happy to report that he is in great spirits and is expected to make a full recovery. He wanted us to express his appreciation to the fans around the world who have expressed their concern and support, and to reassure them that he will be back at work very soon.”
