'Dragon Ball Super' to Start Airing English Dub in January

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Toei Animation, Funimation Entertainment and Adult Swim have announced that Dragon Ball Super, the fourth series in the long-running franchise, will begin broadcasting in the United States from January.

Adult Swim will begin airing to English dub of season 1 during Toonami from January 7, 2017, at 8PM and 11:30PM ET. The first season consists of 26 episodes, including the Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' storylines. New episodes will debut every Saturday.

“Toonami and the Dragon Ball franchise have a long and storied history together in the U.S.,” said Jason DeMarco, senior vice president of on-air for Adult Swim. “We are thrilled to be premiering “Dragon Ball Super” to our audience and keeping Dragon Ball on Toonami!”

The cast features the return of Sean Schemmel, Christopher R. Sabat, Jason Douglas, Ian Sinclair, and Sonny Strait, all returning to their iconic roles as Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, Whis, and Krillin.
