Early Work Has Begun on James Cameron's Avatar Sequel
It seems that James Cameron's Avatar sequel is finally seeing some production light, with the director confirming early work has begun while at the Los Angeles showing for independent film The Dark Horse.
"We do performance capture work. You have to think of it more like an animated film, so it's not really shooting per se. It's a lot of performance capture work, so year, we're getting into that... it's top secret. Remember the Manhattan Project, did they talk about that?" Cameron said when asked by the Associated Press.
So yeah, he just compared his sci-fi sequel to the development of the atomic bomb. He's certainly not short on compliment for his own craft. Fans of the franchise can rejoice that something is finally being done, though nothing major can happen particularly while leading actress Zoe Saldana is busy on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
