Eddie Redmayne on 'Fantastic Beasts' Sequels
J.K. Rowling is bringing back the wizarding world with more than a bang. When Fantastic Beasts was confirmed, it then became a trilogy. Since then, it's turned into a five-film saga, pushing the entire franchise up to 13 films long.
Eddie Redmayne has said little, until now, on the idea of being attached to a massive five-film, ten-year commitment. One thing is for sure, it will certainly keep his vault at Gringotts nice and full.
“As an actor, if it’s your dream to tell stories, getting to tell stories within the imagination of one of the greatest storytellers in the world is all you can hope for, really. Long may that continue,” he said in an interview with Variety.
Rowling has recently revealed that the trilogy was simply a "placeholder" until they were sure of the film-count, and that they knew it was going to be a massive undertaking. The franchise will span the course of 19 years.
The first film in the franchise is out now.
