Ethan Hawke Joins Thriller '24 Hours to Live'
Academy Award winner Ethan Hawke will star in the upcoming thriller 24 Hours to Live, with director Brian Smrz to helm the picture.
Basil Iwanyk of Thunder Road, Fundamental Films Chairman Mark Gao and International President Gregory Ouanhon are producing, with Fundamental financing the entirety of the film.
Written by Zachary Dean and based on an original script by Ron Mita and Jim McClain, 24 Hours to Live traces a career assassin who is given a second chance when his employer brings him back to life temporarily, just after being killed on the job.
"Ethan is a very respected international sensation. We're thrilled to have Brian directing such an explosive script, and to be able to bring this 24 Hours to Live the big screen," Gao said.
Smrz has done acclaimed work as Second Unit director for films such as X-Men: Apocalypse, Iron Man 3, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Live Free or Die Hard.
