Evangeline Lilly suits up for 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'
This week, fans were treated to a first look at Hope Van Dyne's "Wasp" in a tribute to one of the Godfather's of American comics, Jack Kirby.
Actress, Evangeline Lilly posted the pic on social media as a tribute to the late Jack Kirby who would have celebrated his 100th birthday. Both Kirby and Stan Lee co-created the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne, mother to Hope, back in 1963. Though it's unlikely we'll see the original Wasp in costume, we can confirm Ant-Man and the Wasp will be a family affair with Michelle Pfeiffer cast as the matriarch of the Van Dyne family.
Peyton Reed returns to the director's chair, with Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas reprising their roles along with Evangeline Lilly. Laurence Fishburne joins the series as Dr. Bill Foster, a biochemist who works with Hank Pym only to become another size-changing superhero Black Goliath and Giant-Man. Ant-Man and the Wasp also welcomes the talents off Walton Goggins as villain Sonny Burch, and Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo.
