Evangeline Lilly's Ant-Man Companion The Wasp will Appear in 'Avengers 4'
Evangeline Lilly, who plays the Wasp in both the first Ant-Man film and takes a leading role in the sequel, titled Ant-Man and the Wasp, has revealed that she'll be making her introduction in the Avengers proper when the fourth film roles around in 2019.
On the Ant-Man sequel, “Right now an initial script has been created but it has not been approved..." she said. "I’m excited because it’s essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. We’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle, and put on the suit, and fly about, and do her thing."
She then continued on to the Avengers news. "Following that one, there’s an Avengers series coming out that’s a two-parter and the Wasp won’t be in the first part, she’ll be in the second part because they really want to preserve that reveal for Ant-Man and the Wasp so that they can give it its due time.”
Pre-production is underway for Avengers: Infinity War. The sequel to that will not exist under the same moniker but will be gifted an original, standalone title, though that's yet to be revealed.
Ant-Man and the Wasp, meanwhile, will arrive July 6, 2018. Avengers 4 will debut May 3, 2019.
