Fantasy Series 'The Building' in the Works from Neil Gaiman at Fox

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell A new drama series from fantasy writer Neil Gaiman has been put into development by Fox. The Building is based on a digital film called Parallels which saw success on Netflix.

The film came out of Fox Digital Studios, supervised by head of department in an attempt to produce a number of low-budget productions. The Building is written by Albert Kim, and involves a large skyscraper that moves between alternate realities.

A group of young urban explorers who are in the building suddenly find themselves on an Earth where RReagan was not elected and Russia dropped the bomb. They must gather there group members and return to the building, though the Earth is not as they remembered.

The series will explore the building and its origin, and it sounds as though it may well be written as a character in and of itself. Gaiman is currently aiding on the adaptation of his novel American Gods, and is an award-winning writer across a number of novels as well as his comic book series The Sandman.
