First Trailer for 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'
Marvel’s first look reveals some new faces including the mysterious “Ghost”.
When Cap needed help, if I had asked you, would’ve you have come? - Ant-Man
The official trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp is yet another reminder that 2018's spectacular trio of MCU films are set to kick off in a mere weeks starting with Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, leading fans into summer blockbuster season with Avengers: Infinity War in May, and concluding with Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6.
I guess you we’ll never know. But if you had, you would have never been caught - Wasp
Marvel’s first look reveals the return of our miniature superheroes Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hope van Dyne/The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) and Hank Pym/Original Ant-Man (Michael Douglas) who find themselves evading authorities after the fallout of events in Captain America: Civil War. Though the trailer doesn’t give much away in plot, fans were treated to a few ‘don’t blink or you’ll miss’ frames featuring MCU’s newest anti-corporate villain "Ghost" played by Hannah John-Kamen (Ready Player One) and Lawrence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster – a biochemist who works with Hank Pym.
The sequel to 2015's Ant-Man also welcomes Michelle Pfeiffer as the van Dyne family matriarch and the original Wasp, Walton Goggins as the villainous CEO Sonny Burch, and Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo. Michael Pena, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, and Abby Ryder-Fortson are all set to reprise their roles in Peyton Reed's sequel.
Check out the trailer and enjoy the highlight reel led by Evangeline Lilly’s wings and blasters.
Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters July 6.
