Stallone Teases ‘Creed 2’ Poster
Now that his opponent is set, fans of Michael B. Jordan's CREED can officially get amped for the next great challenge in the professional boxer's young career. The hype machine is just heating up!
On Saturday, Sylvestor Stallone unveiled what appears to be an unofficial poster for MGM's Creed II - highlighted in all caps with the numerals II conspicuously drenched in red. Sly's Instagram post captioned “Fight Time ..."features the return of our favorite light heavyweight boxer Adonis “Donnie” Creed (Jordan) alongside legendary Rocky Balboa (Stallone) standing side by side new (and old) opponent, Vitor Drago (Florian Munteanu), the hulking son of legendary Russian Boxer Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren).
Though official plot details have not been revealed, it's safe to Creed II will be a family affair pitting the Creed family legacy and Adonis' journey to greatness against the very household 'name' who ended his father's life over thirty years ago.
Creed II marks the eight entry of the storied Rocky series and direct sequel to Ryan Coogler's 2015 inspirational standout Creed (now streaming on Amazon Prime Video!). Talented newcomer Jeff Caple Jr (The Land) will direct from a script co-written by Sylvestor Stallone, Ryan Coogler, and Cheo Hoari Coker (Luke Cage). Tessa Thompson will reprise her role as Adonis' girlfriend Bianca and Creed director extraordinaire, Ryan Coogler will serve as executive producer.
Are you pumped for this fight? Of course if we've learned anything from Creed - (and the entire Rocky series), we're here for the life lessons. Boxing is a solid consolation prize.
Creed II is set for release November 21, 2018
