Fox Animation Puts 'The Dam Keeper' Into Development
Tonko House and 20th Century Fox are taming to develop a new feature film based on the short film The Dam Keeper, which received a 2015 Academy Award nomination.
Tonko House founders Robert Kondo and Daisuke Tsutsumi will direct while Fox will distribute the picture. The duo come off work as art directors at Pixar on such projects as Toy Story 3 and Monsters University, before they founded the company.
The short film centered on the friendship between an introverted pig and an artistic fox. It had no dialogue and was based on 8,000 digital paintings. The feature film will expand the characters and world into a full-length movie. It will, contrarily, have dialogue in it, and will be made primarily in CG.
