FOX orders 'The Exorcist' and 'Lethal Weapon' for Series Order
While FOX's Minority Report fell short of expectations in a strange, hopefully short age where networks are seeking out big screen properties to convert to small screen standouts. So, taking the failure in its stride, the network has turned its attention to two new properties.
FOX has ordered series based on 1973's horror classic The Exorcist and 1980s buddy cop classic Lethal Weapon. Deadline reports that Jeremy Slater will write The Exorcist, and it will be directed by Rupert Wyatt.
Lethal Weapon will be written by Matt Miller and directed by Joseph McGinty Nichol. Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans have been cast in the classic roles of Riggs and Murtaugh.
