Fox Shifts its 2018 Marvel Film Release Dates
2016 has been solid for Fox, and 2017 also looks promising with Wolverine 3 hopefully offering a satisfying bow-out for Hugh Jackman.
With Gambit, Deadpool 2, a New Mutants spin-off, and the next X-Men-proper film, none of them have yet to be given a release time and there's no hint at what comes directly after the Wolverine sequel.
There are two unannounced Marvel films slated for 2018, but Fox has now updated their release slate and shuffled those dates around. The studio's Jan 12, 2018 date has been handed to the Maze Runner sequel instead, and the untitled X-Men film will arrive March 2.
Additionally, its July 13 slated film has been moved to June 29 of that year, wedged right between the Jurassic World sequel and Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp. Gambit is set to launch production later this year, so there's a good chance that'll take the October 6, 2017 date. So Deadpool and New Mutants may well be reserving those 2018 dates.
