FX Adds Showrunner for 'Y: The Last Man' Adaptation
FX has hired Michael Green, who is running the ship on American Gods alongside Neil Gaiman, to act as showrunner on its Y: The Last Man series. The project adapts the award-winning comic book series written by Brian K. Vaughan.
Vaughan will work closely with Green on the series, and they will co-write the script for the series pilot. The series is still in development at FX.
Vaughan's series has seen plenty of attempts at adaptation in recent years. The story follows a young man who remains the sole male on the planet after a mysterious virus wipes out all the others. In a world filled with women, the story tracks the man's journey in a great new spin on the post-apocalypse tale.
