FX Renews Noah Hawley's 'Legion' for Season 2
FX has given a premature renewal to Noah Hawley's X-Men series Legion, after only five episodes have aired for season 1.
The eight episode first season of the series follows David Haller (Dan Stevens), a man who is a powerful mutant without realizing it, spending his entire life so far of the belief that he's schizophrenic. The pilot drew 1.6 million viewers.
"The first season of Legion was a stunning achievement. More than a new series, Legion is a wholly original take on the superhero genre. Our thanks to Noah Hawley for taking the creative risks and shattering expectations," said FX programming president Eric Schrier.
With a full calendar, Hawley's return is not a certainty. With Fargo, The Cat's Cradle, and other projects in the works, we'll have to wait and see whether Legion stays on his list of priorities.
