'Gambit' Gets a New Production Date, Filming to Begin on 'Deadpool 2' at the Start of 2017
Producer Simon Kinberg has come forward with some X-Men related news, which has died off considerably since X-Men: Apocalypse seemingly fizzled out of public consciousness.
He gives a rundown of the movie universe as it stands now. “The first thing up, we’re shooting the Wolverine movie right now and we start shooting Deadpool 2 at the beginning of next year, then I sit down and start writing the next of the mainline X-Men movies.”
One particular film fans are curious about is Gambit, which has seen setback after setback in developmental stages. “We have a great script on that and hope to shoot that movie at the beginning of spring of next year.”
The film has Channing Tatum attached to star in the film. Kinberg is confident that production will start on the spin-off next year.
Meanwhile, the next release is Wolverine 3, for March 3 of 2017.
