Game of Thrones: McShane Bites Back at Upset Fans Over Potential Spoilers
Ian McShane recently revealed a plot point that suggests he will be playing a character called the Elder Brother, responsible for bringing Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane back into the action.
Many fans were upset by this, unwilling to apparently accept any spoilers even in such a heavy spoiler culture that we live in. McShane apparently took a similar sentiment, and responded brashly to questions relating to fan outcry.
"You say the slightest thing and the internet goes ape," he said to The Telegraph. "I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a f—-ing life. It's only tits and dragons."
On why he accepted the role in the show, McShane had this to say: "They asked me if I wanted to do Game of Thonres, and I said, 'Sure, I'll be able to see my old pals Charlie Dance and Stephen Dillane' and they say, 'No, we've killed them off.' I wasn't sure whether I could commit, but then they said it would only be for one episode, so I said, 'So that means I must die at the end of it. Great, I'm in.'"
There are no guarantees with his character, but he does only appear in the book for one chapter (albeit with a less bloody end). There's no telling where the character will go in the show.
