'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Directors All Confirmed
Season 7 news has started coming in just days after Game of Thrones ended its biggest season to date. With the show feeling very much as if it's headed toward an end date, everything counts, and four directors have signed on to lend their hand to the HBO drama.
Alan Taylor, Jeremy Podeswa, and Mark Mylod, all series veterans, will be back, while newcomer Matt Shakman will join the collection of filmmakers.
EW announced the news, as Taylor returns following directing stints on Thor: The Dark World and Terminator Genisys, and hasn't been seen on the set of Thrones since season two.
Podeswa and Mylod both directed episodes in season six, while Shakman is best known for FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
A notable absentee is Miguel Sapochnik, who has directed probably three of the show's best ever episodes, in season five's Hardhome, and season six episodes Battle of the Bastards and The Winds of Winter.
