'Game of Thrones' Spinoff Talks Confirmed by HBO Boss
Game of Thrones is on its home stretch, which makes HBO nervous to say the least. So, for some time now, we've been hearing about potential spinoff talks as Thrones winds down to its final two seasons.
HBO CEO Richard Plepner has confirmed that serious talks are being had about the direction for a spinoff. "There might be some brand extension [for GOT] that would be exciting. It certainly has not escaped the producers.
"Right now we’re focused on finishing the series with the kind of energy and excitement that everyone has come to expect. We’re going to do that while at the same time parallel processing very embryonic stages of other possibilities."
