Gotham Will be Back for a Third Season
Amongst a plethora of renewals in the past week alone, Gotham has now joined the ranks of those staying on air, with Fox renewing it for a third season to presumably commence later this year.
The show has recently introduced characters Hugo Strange and Mr. Freeze, and the show is being regarded as having turned a corner after a patchy opening season, becoming a solid contribution of DC content on TV.
“It takes a very special team to tell the tales of ‘Gotham.’ For the past two seasons, Bruno, Danny and John have masterfully honored the mythology of GOTHAM and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama,” said David Madden, President of Entertainment at Fox. “This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn’t be more proud of this show.”
The show averages 9 million viewers in total across multiple platforms, one of the highest performing shows of the season.
