Green Lantern May Appear in 'Batman v Superman' Justice League Prelude
Essentially an episode zero to the pilot of the entire DC universe, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to feature Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), each in some and probably varying capacities (will end credits scenes make its way across to Warner Bros.?)
Green Lantern, the final piece in the justice-busting puzzle, has been absent from any marketing, and his name has barely been mentioned. However, new reports are suggesting that actor Dan Amboyer may be dressing up in green for the role in Snyder's upcoming Man of Steel sequel.
Speaking with PopSugar, Amboyer made a few comments that don't add up to a whole lot, but enough. On top of mentioning he has some great scenes with some of the other DC superheroes, he also said that there are DC characters waiting in the wings that have not yet been officially confirmed.
All that is known of his character is that he is a "drone pilot" with a possible name of Lt. Christie. The actor does admit that the role has an "undercover" aspect to it. Amboyer auditioned for the role of Clark Kent in Man of Steel, and then The Flash for the latest DC flick. Maybe, just maybe, he got his wish, and he'll be dressed in tights come March 25.
Considering whispers of a nervous Warner Bros. (understandably so), keeping Green Lantern under wraps might purely be a marketing ploy, given the sour taste the Ryan Reynolds-led Green Lantern film left a few years back. Warner would want to create some distance between that and this new franchise.
