Harley Quinn/Birds of Prey DCEU Film Gets its Writer
We've known for some time that Harley Quinn is getting a film all her own spinning out from Suicide Squad, but Margot Robbie won't be tearing a path of destruction without some resistance. It's now been confirmed that the film will be a Harley Quinn/Birds of Prey spinoff.
The Birds of Prey is a team of female crimefighters within the DC comics realm. The film, starring Robbie who is also producing, will seemingly feature an all-female cast of DC characters, both friend and foe, and Christina Hodson has been confirmed to write the screenplay.
Hodson has had a number of Black Listed, acclaimed unproduced scripts, and her first big screen feature, Shut In, starring Naomi Watts, is out now.
It seems Harley Quinn will be surrounded by new additions to the DCEU, given that she's the only female standout to so far come out of the franchise (excluding Wonder Woman, because it's highly unlikely she shows up in this).
