'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' is the Most Pre-Ordered Book in Nearly a Decade
There's been no greater frequency of pre-orders for a book since 2007 than Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the screenplay release of the play that all Potter fans will jump on given how few will get to actually see the play itself.
Barnes & Nobles has announced that the book is the most pre-ordered since 2007, when the record was held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It says a lot about a franchise that is promising to be timeless.
Chief Merchandising Officer Mary Amicucci said, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is Barnes & Noble’s most pre-ordered book since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and we expect it to be our biggest selling book of the year.”
The story is the eighth part in Harry Potter's tale, and takes place following the epilogue in the seventh novel, in a time when Harry is working as an Auror and his own children are attending Hogwarts.
