Harry Potter Film Concert Series to Showcase the Music of John Williams
CineConcerts and Warner Brothers Consumer Products are in the midst of creating a new, unique experience for Harry Potter fans, in order to highlight the magic of John Williams' soundtrack.
The concert series will go from film to film, airing the entire film for audiences while a live symphony orchestra plays the score over the films existing sound effects and dialogue. The series will naturally start with the first, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
The Harry Potter Film Concert Series begins on June 23 this year, at Philadelphia Mann Center for the Performing Arts with the Philadelphia Orchestra. A full schedule for the remainder of the series has yet to be released. Tickets for the first show go online Feb 20 on Ticketmaster and MannCenter.org.
