Hasbro's Cinematic Universe adds some serious talent to its Writers Room
Paramount Pictures and Hasboro Inc. have assembled a writers room to develop the cinematic universe of Hasbro properties. Akiva Goldsman is overseeing the team.
The writers assigned to the team are Lindsey Beer (Wizard of Oz), Michael Chabon (The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay), Cheo Coker (Ray Donovan), Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower), Nicole Riegel (Soldier Girls), Genevea Robertson (Tom Raider) and Brian K Vaughan (Lost).
The brands that will feature in the cinematic universe include G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Visionaries, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and ROM.
“Paramount and Hasbro have partnered on many successful films in the past, including the ‘Transformers’ and ‘G.I. Joe,’ franchises,” said Brad Grey, chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures. “Bringing together a writers room of this caliber is a bold step for our partnership, and one that we believe is critical for building these brands into new, successful franchises for the future.”
