‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 premiere date revealed
When you play the game of thrones you win...or you die.
After eight years and eight legendary seasons, Game of Thrones will debut its series finale on April 14, 2019.
HBO released a foreboding promo featuring the surviving Stark children walking deep in the crypts of Winterfell only to discover statues of their former selves staring right back at them. The duality of life and death is yet another startling reminder, that when you play the game of thrones, Winter doesn’t give a f%#k.
HBO’s eighth and final season will consist of six episodes and like season 7, will largely consist of original content not found in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, but will adapt material from Martin’s upcoming The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
All six episodes will be directed by longtime series Directors - David Nutter, Miguel Sapochnik, and showrunners David Benioff & D. B. Weiss.
Three and a half months and counting people.
