Henry Cavill's Clark Kent Will Not Be Similar to Christopher Reeves' Portrayal
Speaking with Studio Cine Live, Henry Cavill opened up about his portrayal as Superman, and responded to the inevitable comparisons that will be made between his portrayal and that of Christopher Reeves in the original Superman films.
"My Clark Kent is trying to be as small and invisible as possible. If you're awkward and spilling things constantly, people are going to notice you, and that's not the best way to go unseen.
"You have to admit, it's not a remarkable disguise, just a pair of glasses. He'd like to think that no one will believe he could be Superman. How could such a delicate flower be a living god? Preposterous."
Regarding the character himself, Cavill says that "the film is more about how the world in general - and Batman in particular - sees this alien, and less about the evolution of Superman".
With Bruce Wayne taking on the Man of Steel, considering him a threat to the people of Earth, there'll be plenty of tension and conflict even before the major villain(s) hit the screen.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016.
