Here's Your First Look At Jon Bernthal's 'The Punisher'
Skull body armor is a slight upgrade from Jane's and Stevenson's skull vests
"All the things that I'd done, Memories, they never hurt me. But the past is more than memories. It's the Devil you sold your soul to. He's coming. He's coming to collect."
Netflix has unveiled our first look at The Punisher aka Frank Castle following last week's cement shattering teaser sneak peek. Castle's skull armor, is subtle but noticeable and is a hard upgrade from the skull print vests worn by past "Punisher's" Thomas Jane and Ray Stevenson. If anything, this image reaffirms Jeph Loeb's (Marvel Head of TV) decision to cast Jon Bernthal as the vigilante back in 2015 "he brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences."
We whole heartedly agree Jeph.
Netflix's announcement also included a more detailed synopsis, "After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone."
