'Homeland' Production Reshuffled Due to Rupert Friend's Injury
Production for the 6th season of Showtime's 'Homeland' suffered a setback due to Rupert Friend's ankle injury. Speaking to Deadline at Showtime's pre-Emmy party last Saturday, Friend, who was on crutches, said he broke his ankle while off work but the injury originated from two on-set incidents when he filmed season 4 and 5.
Friend who portrays Peter Quinn, hopes that he will be ready to resume filming in a few weeks. Meanwhile, filming for Homeland continues with executive producer/director Leslie Linka Glatter shuffling the shooting schedule to adjust to Friend's temporary absence.
But fear not. According to Homeland's showrunner, Alex Gansa, Homeland 6 will premiere as scheduled on January 15, 2017.
