James Mangold Eyeing Future Films in the X-Men Franchise
While Hugh Jackman is counting down the days until his final X-Men film reaches audiences, James Mangold is looking ahead. In Logan, X-23, played by Dafne Keen, is introduced into the franchise, and the director himself sees more potential with the character in the future.
Speaking with We Got This Covered, Mangold said that, first up, he and Jackman will be teaming up again after this. "I definitely know that Hugh and I will work together again." He is also notably fascinated with Keen and her portrayal of X-23. He continues:
”I think Dafne is incredible in the film and I would love to see another film about that character and that’s certainly something I’d be involved in. For me that was one of the big additions I brought to the table, this decision to try to make the film about family and to try to insert Laura and the pressures that would put and the idea about Charles ailing.”
So, hopefully, Logan is simply the start of something, and hopefully the team knocked it out of the park with this highly anticipated pic.
