James Wan kind of responds to Rumours of his 'Aquaman' departure
BMD had recently reported that Aquaman director James Wan may be on his way out following The Flash director Seth Grahame-Smith's own departure. It seems these reports may have been overly enthusiastic in jumping on top of Warner Bros., causing some panic of their own in the media.
While Wan hasn't said that he isn't leaving Aquaman, he posted a photo of himself standing in front of an image of Arthur Curry (the titular hero) with a message that read "You guys are killing me." The filmmaker advised fans not to attack the journalist who reported the news, which is fair enough and may have been necessary.
So far, despite the report suggesting Wan's "tremendous amount of trepidation about Aquaman," the director has been extremely optimistic about the feature, excited to bring his own vision to the character.
The film is due out July 27, 2018, and stars Jason Momoa.
