Javier Bardem to Join Jennifer Lawrence for Darren Aronofsky's Mystery Film
Javier Bardem is in talks to co-star with Jennifer Lawrence on Darren Aronofsky's next film, an untitled indie project with nothing but a one-sentence description for us to mull over.
The story is centered on "a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence." This really tells us very little about what to expect, considering this could involve comedic elements or more dramatic themes. Expect more details to emerge soon.
A release date is set for 2017, with the film kicking off shooting in Spring. It has been picked up by Paramount Pictures, who distributed Aronofsky's last film, Noah. Production house New Regency has a first-look deal with Aronofsky, but passed on the project initially.
Bardem as landed the role after Idris Elba beame unavailable due to the potential start of production for Sony's The Dark Tower. Bardem is next up in the coming sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean, in cinemas July 7 2017.
