Jennifer Lawrence and Dwayne Johnson are the Highest Paid Actors in the Industry
Forbes takes time out of every year to rank the highest paid actors and actresses worldwide. Hollywood is usually the winner, though more and more international names are creeping up the ladder.
That being said, Dwayne Johnson is the highest paid actor in the industry, after Robert Downey Jr was crowned that particular achievement in 2015. Jennifer Lawrence makes it back to back years as the top paid actress.
“I can kick ass better than anyone on the planet. And I have a decent smile," Johnson told Forbes. That sounds about all you need to be extraordinarily popular. Films like Fast 8 and Central Intelligence have seem him charted with around $64 million.
Lawrence has taken home $46 million for Hunger Games and the upcoming Passengers. In 2015, she earned $52 million, but clearly the drop didn't see her booted from her pedestal.
While it's notable that Lawrence is nearly $20 million short of Johnson's take, it's also notable that Forbes cites that women are three times more likely than men to be shown partially or fully nude on screen, 27.5% of the time.
Either way, they have more money than we do.
