Jeremy Irons Sides with Critics, Believes the Poor Reviews for 'Batman v Superman' were Justified
Jeremy Irons is regarded as one of the finer parts of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the actor has spoken in Britain's Daily Mail on where he believes the film went wrong, and how Justice League will be better.
"Deservedly so," Irons said regarding the poor ratings on sites like Rotten Tomatoes. "I mean it took £800 million [note that the film actually took $870 million, so this may be an editorial error for the magazine], so the kicking didn’t matter but it was sort of overstuffed," he told the Mail. "It was very muddled. I think the next one will be simpler. The script is certainly a lot smaller, it’s more linear."
Many fans hold out hope that the upcoming R-rated ultimate cut will free up some of that bloated and overstuffed sourness many have taken from the film.
