J.J. Abrams and Daisy Ridley Re-Teaming for Fantasy Film 'Kolma'

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Currently being developed by Paramount, it looks like J.J. Abrams and Daisy Ridley will be teaming up again for a new project following their success from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

This time around, Abrams will be producing rather than directing, through his Bad Robot banner. Ridley is in talks to star, report THR, with Marielle Heller (Diary of a Teenage Girl) in talks to direct.

Kolma is based on an Israeli TV movie called All I've Got, which details the story of a young woman involved in a car accident that kills her boyfriend. At the end of her life, she's given the opportunity to relive that day and be with him again, but in doing so would surrender the memories of her later life with husband and children. Sounds intense.

Abrams has been producing TV and film left, right and centre lately, so it's hard to think he's going to actually direct anything any time soon. Ridley, unsurprisingly, is reaping the rewards of her successful debut in Hollywood with Star Wars, and is reprtedly in talks for the Tomb Raider film currently in development.
