J.K. Rowling Gets Behind New Fan Theory Surrounding 'Harry Potter'

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Recently, yet another fan theory based on J.K. Rowling's 'Harry Potter' series has arisen, suggesting that Dumbledore is the character Death from 'The Tale of the Three Brothers', as shown in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1'.

The theory suggests that Dumbledore is Death, and that when Harry meets him at platform 9 and 3/4 toward the end of 'Deathly Hallows - Part 2', they greet one another as old friends, just like in the tale.

Rowling jumped onto Twitter and had this to say regarding the theory:

Dumbledore as death. It's a beautiful theory and it fits. https://t.co/QqTQm2QnI0— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 21, 2015

In the tale, death awards each of three bothers an item of their choosing, after having thwarted him. The fan theory casts Voldemort as the brother whom wished for the most powerful wand in the world, due to his quest for power.

Snape is the second brother in the tale, who wishes for the Resurrection Stone. This is due to Snape's undying love for Lily Potter. Harry is the third brother, who wishes for a cloak of invisibility, and departs the earth with Death, as equals.

The haunting tale, narrated by Emma Watson's character in 'Deathly Hallows - Part 1', can be viewed below.
