John Boyega 'Black Panther' rumours dismissed by the Star's Agent
Update: John Boyega's agent has taken to Twitter to put a halt on rumours of Boyega's attachment to the film:
"My client@JohnBoyega will not be starring in Black Panther. Now for the news..."
Original: John Boyega may make it two major franchises in a few short years, as rumours are emerging that the Star Wars: The Force Awakens breakout is being eyed for Marvel's Black Panther.
While the report is based on conjecture and circumstantial evidence, Screenrant is reporting that there's a very good chance Boyega could be meeting with director Ryan Coogler regarding a role in the solo film.
A recent post via Boyega's snapchat account indicated a 'meeting' of some sort. Marvel studios president Kevin Feige not long after started following Boyega on Twitter. Heroic Hollywood later reported this: "Hot, unconfirmed scuttlebutt is telling me Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega may be meeting for the film as well."
Kevin Feige has confirmed a 90% African-American or African cast for the film, which increases Boyega's casting potential. Given the film's already phenomenal cast, both the film and Boyega himself would only benefit from the casting.
