'John Wick' Directors Played a Role in the Action Sequences of 'Civil War'
While there's plenty of confidence from both Marvel and fans, not least of all from the directors themselves, for Captain America: Civil War, it seems the Russo brothers looked for some input elsewhere when making the upcoming film.
The directing duo went to Chad Stahelski and David Leitch to ask for assistance when it came to the action in the film. Stahelski and Leitch are the men behind the much-loved John Wick.
"They did us a huge favor. They're friends of ours, and obviously, they're now off enjoying very successful directing careers, and just as friends we called them and asked them if they'd help us execute some of the action sequences.
"Along with Spiro Razatos, who is generally regarded as the top guy along with Chad and David, so we literally had an all-star team of second unit directors working on this movie with us, because we cared so much about the action, the quality of the action, and we knew we had to work really hard to up our game from Winter Solider, so we wanted to bring in the best people in the business to help us do that."
Early reports seem to indicate that the Russo's haven't put a foot wrong for this film, so it must have worked out for the best.
